Fatal accident with RTD bus closes westbound lanes of I-70 in Denver
A fatal accident involving an RTD bus caused the closure of all westbound lanes on I-70 in Denver on Monday morning. The accident occurred between a vehicle and RTD bus 15L around 7 a.m. at Holly Street, as confirmed by Denver police. Fortunately, there were no passengers on the bus as it was not in service at the time. The bus driver was unharmed. Tragically, the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash lost their life, but their identity remains unknown. The circumstances leading up to the accident are under investigation. All westbound lanes of I-70 were shut down for the investigation and cleanup, resulting in significant traffic delays. Drivers were advised to seek alternate routes.
