Fatal accident on I-80/94 in Gary, Indiana
A tragic accident occurred on the Borman Expressway in Gary, Indiana early Sunday morning resulting in the death of a woman. The Lake County, Indiana Coroner's office was called to the scene on Interstate 80/94 near Cline Avenue around 1:56 a.m. to identify the victim. Sadly, the woman has been identified as Faith Vandell Mitchell, aged 23, from Chicago by her family based on tattoos. The coroner's office will confirm the identity with DNA or dental records. The woman suffered severe blunt-force and burn injuries in the crash. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine the exact cause of death.
