Fatal accident on I-75 bridge in Riverview.
A tragic incident occurred Sunday on Interstate 75 in Riverview, resulting in the death of a 35-year-old man from Spring Hill. The man was driving a Honda Civic on the interstate when he was involved in a solo crash near mile post 250 on the Alafia River bridge. While on foot on the bridge following the initial crash, he was struck by a Chevy Traverse, thrown over the barrier, and into the river, where he tragically passed away. Another driver, a 20-year-old woman from Kentucky, was also involved in a collision in the same area but escaped injury, as did a 41-year-old woman from Brandon. The Florida Highway Patrol did not disclose the identities of those involved in the accident.
