Fatal accident on Hwy 20 claims life of Freeport resident
A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday evening on Highway 20 in Walton County, Florida, resulting in the passing of a Freeport resident following a three-vehicle collision. The crash occurred around 5 p.m., involving an SUV and a motorcycle. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist, a 56-year-old man from Freeport, was heading east on Highway 20 when the SUV, carrying three individuals, attempted to turn onto County Hwy 83A and collided with the motorcyclist. After being thrown from his bike, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries. The SUV then collided with a van that was stationary at a stop sign on County Highway 83A. Fortunately, no other individuals sustained injuries in the accident.
