Fatal accident of baseball prospect Nick Danbrowney, aged 22

The tragic incident took place on August 18 in Corolla, located in the northern Outer Banks of North Carolina. Nick Danbrowney was a passenger in a 2023 Ford Explorer driven by Rosario Edgar, 65. The vehicle was traveling at a high speed when it veered off the road, hit an embankment, and flipped multiple times. Sadly, Danbrowney, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle and passed away at the scene. Edgar was transported to the hospital but also succumbed to his injuries. Danbrowney, a baseball talent, recently signed with the Bakersfield Train Robbers of the Pecos League in California. During his debut professional season, he impressed by striking out 32 batters in 21.2 innings. Before this, he shone at Ramapo College, becoming its all-time strikeout leader with 225, including 72 in his final season. The baseball community mourns the loss, with Train Robbers manager Bill Rogan expressing his sorrow, emphasizing Danbrowney's character and skills.
