Fatal accident at Whitesville processing plant
UPDATE: A mine worker, Eric Bartrum, of Chapmanville, passed away following a serious accident at the Marfork Processing Plant in Whitesville, West Virginia. The incident occurred around 10:35 a.m. Bartrum, a 41-year-old miner electrician with 14 years of experience, was confirmed to have succumbed to his injuries by the West Virginia Department of Commerce and Homeland Security. The West Virginia Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training is currently investigating the incident and further updates will be provided by 13 News.
