A 21-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident in Kenosha on Tuesday evening, and the driver who fled the scene has been apprehended. The collision occurred near 85th Street and 22nd Avenue, involving Vincent Metz from Kenosha, who had recently purchased the motorcycle. This incident was witnessed by a neighbor, Jon Lyons, who described the heartbreaking scene with the mangled motorcycle lying on the road. Metz sustained severe injuries, including multiple broken bones, and is currently receiving treatment at Froedtert Hospital. The family has initiated a fundraiser to support his recovery. The driver, identified as a 40-year-old woman, was taken into custody and tested for a potential OWI. A call for stricter penalties for repeat OWI offenders has been made by neighbors in response to this tragic event. Charges have been filed by the District Attorney's Office, pending a thorough review of the case details.
