Emergency teams react to plane crash in Coral Springs.
Emergency responders are currently on the scene of a reported airplane crash in a neighborhood in Coral Springs on Monday morning. The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. near 50700 NW 57th Terrace. Video footage from CBS Miami Chopper 4 depicts damage to a fence and trees in the backyard of a residence. The aircraft involved was a Beechcraft King Air twin-turboprop plane departing from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport at approximately 10:14 a.m., headed towards Jamaica for hurricane relief efforts following Hurricane Melissa. Traffic on Creekside Drive, located from NW 66th Terrace to NW 53rd Drive, has been blocked off as emergency crews continue to clear the area. Motorists are advised to avoid this section.
