
Elderly man dies in London collision between 2 vehicles and pedestrian
UPDATE: Aug. 26 at 10:15 a.m. The Laurel County Sheriff's Office announced that a tragic incident occurred on Monday night on US 25, resulting in the death of an 87-year-old man who was hit by two vehicles. The collision took place about 6 miles south of London, where it was determined that the pedestrian, identified as Edward E. Queen, had entered the path of a northbound Ford expedition and was subsequently struck. Another vehicle behind also hit the pedestrian. Sadly, Mr. Queen succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. UPDATE: Aug. 26 at 9:25 a.m. Following the closure of the area near Lily in Laurel County due to the accident, authorities have confirmed the reopening of the section of US 25. The original collision caused a temporary closure around 9:10 p.m., with an approximate two to three-hour wait for the road to be cleared. An investigation is still ongoing.
