Two individuals have been taken into custody by the Tuscaloosa police in connection with a tragic overnight accident that resulted in the death of a young woman named Cierra Anthony, aged 21. The suspects, who have not yet been named, face charges of driving under the influence. Anthony lost her life when the vehicle she was a passenger in was struck from behind by another car around 2 a.m. on Sunday. The circumstances surrounding this secondary collision remain unclear as investigations by the Tuscaloosa Police Department's traffic homicide unit are ongoing. This unfortunate incident was one of two accidents reported in Tuscaloosa County within a span of less than 12 hours.
