DUI charges dismissed for Yuba City truck driver in fatal SoCal crash
A Yuba City truck driver involved in a fatal eight-vehicle accident on a Southern California freeway last month, which resulted in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to four others, will no longer be charged with DUI, according to the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office. Jashanpreet Singh, 21, was identified as the driver of the truck that caused a chain reaction crash on Interstate 10 in Ontario. Toxicology tests revealed that Singh was not under the influence of any impairing substances at the time of the incident. Consequently, the charges against him have been modified to vehicular manslaughter due to gross negligence.
