Driver sentenced for causing deadly crash at 100 mph on I-69

In Fort Wayne, Indiana, Jourdan Hudson was sentenced on Monday for her involvement in a fatal crash last year. A judge at Allen Superior Court sentenced her to 61 years in prison, with 30 years to be served on probation. The tragic incident occurred in November 2024 when Hudson was driving an SUV at over 100 mph on I-69 southbound near Union Chapel Road, resulting in a crash where her sister and a child lost their lives. Hudson pleaded guilty to charges of neglect of a dependent and operating a vehicle causing death. Other charges such as reckless homicide and driving while intoxicated causing death were dismissed.
