
Driver runs away after accident causes car to hit house in Philadelphia: authorities
Authorities are currently on the lookout for a driver who allegedly crashed into a residence in Philadelphia following a collision at an intersection. The incident took place at approximately 3:30 a.m. at the crossing of Oxford Avenue, Horrocks Street, and Kenwyn Street in Frankford. A Toyota heading west on Oxford Street was hit by a speeding Honda that disregarded a stop sign at the three-way junction. The impact caused the Honda to smash into a home on the 1100 block of Kenwyn Street. The driver of the Honda, described as a Black man in a white shirt, fled the crash scene. The Toyota driver, aged 31, was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center in critical condition. The collision resulted in significant property damage, including a sizeable hole in the residence and a wide debris field. Officials from License and Inspections are currently assessing the safety of the building.
