Driver loses control, crashes into tree in fatal accident
The El Paso County Coroner's Office has identified the individual who tragically lost his life in a crash on Sunday, Oct. 26, as 21-year-old Richard Bayne Jr., according to information provided by the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD). CSPD responded to a collision at the intersection of Dublin Boulevard and Cloud Dancer Drive, where Bayne Jr.'s vehicle lost control and collided with another vehicle before striking a tree in the median. Bayne Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene. Fortunately, the driver of the second vehicle involved in the incident did not sustain any injuries. CSPD noted that this incident marked the 48th traffic fatality in 2025, with 50 fatalities recorded at the same point in the previous year.
