Driver killed in car accident on Pembroke Road, according to Greensboro police
The Greensboro Police Department reported that the driver involved in a single-car crash on Friday has passed away. The incident occurred at the intersection of Pembroke Road and Chatham Drive at approximately 5:28 p.m., prompting response from local authorities. A witness reported that a Ford Focus sedan traveling east on Pembroke Road veered off the road and collided with a barrier before hitting a tree in the woods. The driver succumbed to their injuries, with their identity to be disclosed later. Alcohol or drug impairment does not seem to have played a role, as per the GPD. The crash is currently being investigated.
