The incident occurred at the intersection of Highway 167 and Brown Street, prompting the fire department to respond at 10:01 a.m. Firefighters encountered a vehicle that had plunged into the creek during their arrival. Wayne County EMS transported one person to the hospital, with the severity of their injuries unknown at the time. Following the extraction of the vehicle from the creek, firefighters proceeded to address the environmental effects of the crash by utilizing absorbent pads to clean up oil spills and reduce contamination.
