
Driver in Phoenix arrested after fatal I-10 crash that claimed life of child, according to DPS.
A tragic incident occurred on I-10 in Phoenix late Sunday, resulting in the death of a 6-year-old child and hospitalization of a 4-year-old after a collision between two vehicles. This unfortunate crash took place around 7:45 p.m. on the eastbound lanes near 67th Avenue. The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported that a pickup truck struck a sedan carrying five individuals, leading to the sedan hitting a concrete median wall. Following the collision, the children were quickly taken to a nearby hospital, where the 6-year-old child passed away, while the 4-year-old is in stable condition. Although the pickup truck driver initially fled the scene, they were later found at a nearby gas station and apprehended by authorities. Names of those involved have not been disclosed, and it is currently unclear what charges the driver may face as a result of this incident.
