
Driver from Fort Wayne sentenced to 12 years for causing fatal fiery crash
A man in Fort Wayne, Indiana, was recently sentenced to 12 years in prison for causing a fatal crash while intoxicated last year. Jose R. Perez Santos was speeding and under the influence when he collided with another car, resulting in the death of Fernando Zavala Pizano and Mayra Vivar. Santos had a blood-alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit at the time of the incident. He pleaded guilty to several charges related to the crash and received the 12-year sentence as part of a plea deal.
