Driver dies after hitting oncoming traffic in Chesapeake crash
CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A driver died Saturday following a crash on Battlefield Blvd S. in Chesapeake, according to the Chesapeake Police Department. Officers received a call at approximately 7:44 a.m., and found a two-vehicle accident in which a SUV crossed over the center line and hit a truck traveling the opposite direction. Both drivers were transported to the hospital for further treatment, but the driver of the SUV later died as a result of their injuries.
