
Driver detained after deadly hit-and-run near Chillicothe
Authorities in Chillicothe, Ohio are investigating a tragic hit-and-run incident that occurred on State Route 159 early Friday morning. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that a pedestrian, identified as Frankie Bostwick, was struck by a Chevrolet Uplander driven by Bruce Hardesty, who then fled the scene. Hardesty was apprehended at the 200 block of North Bridge Street and taken into custody by the Ross County Law Enforcement Complex. Despite being transported to a local hospital, Bostwick sadly passed away from his injuries. Collaboration between OSHP, Chillicothe Police Department, Ross County Sheriff's Office, Chillicothe Fire Department, and the Ohio Department of Transportation was crucial during this investigation.
