Driver critically injured after ejection in Saturday crash.
A driver sustained serious injuries in a car crash on Saturday morning near Eastbound Interstate 470 and Hillcrest Road in Kansas City. According to authorities from the Kansas City Police Department, the driver of a white Chevrolet Tahoe was speeding in the eastbound lanes when they lost control, veered off the road, and struck a guardrail. The vehicle continued eastbound between the guardrails dividing eastbound and westbound lanes, eventually overturning and coming to a stop in the westbound lanes. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the car and suffered life-threatening injuries. They were rushed to the hospital and are currently in critical condition.
