Driver accused of carjackings, deadly crash following chase to appear in court Monday

A man accused of carjackings and a police chase resulting in a crash that caused the death of two women in Minneapolis is set to appear in court on Monday. Troy Mike Payton faces serious charges, including three felony counts of fleeing a police officer leading to deaths and federal carjacking and firearm charges related to the incident. The crash also left a 6-year-old boy injured and a dog had to be euthanized. Payton, also known as Edward Tiki Arrington, was arrested by authorities after allegedly carjacking a bystander and engaging in a high-speed chase that ended tragically. The crash claimed the lives of Marisa Ardys Casebolt and Liberty Borg, both 25, and seriously injured the young boy. The grandmother of the injured boy spoke with FOX 9 about his recovery process and grieving the loss of Borg and Casebolt. Grayson Borg, the boy affected by the crash, witnessed the loss of his mother and shared the heartbreaking experience with his grandmother.
