Driver accused in Orange County crash dies in another collision
A woman was fatally injured in a collision in Orange County, as reported by Laguna Beach Police Department officers. The incident occurred on El Toro Road south of the 73 Toll Road overpass in Laguna Beach around 7 p.m. The 46-year-old female victim was taken to a nearby hospital but tragically succumbed to her injuries. Her identity has not yet been disclosed. Prior to this crash, the woman was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run while driving a U-Haul truck in Rancho Mission Viejo. The woman stopped her truck on El Toro Road after being followed by the other party involved in the hit-and-run. Subsequently, she exited the U-Haul and was struck by a passing vehicle while walking on the road. The driver of the involved car stayed at the scene to assist with the investigation.
