Driver accused in deadly hit-and-run was intoxicated and tested positive for marijuana, according to Council Bluffs police.
A 52-year-old man in Council Bluffs was found with a very high blood alcohol level when he reportedly struck and killed a 17-year-old motorcyclist. Toxicology results revealed that the man, Jason Lee Evans, also had marijuana in his system at the time of the incident. Evans fled the scene but was later apprehended by the police. Authorities are seeking multiple charges, including vehicular homicide while under the influence and leaving the scene of a deadly accident.
