
Driver, 20, confessed to drinking before deadly collision with bicyclist, officials say
A 20-year-old man from Cleveland, Kamarion T. Jordan, confessed to consuming alcohol before a car accident that tragically resulted in the death of a 51-year-old cyclist. The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 16, when Jordan was allegedly speeding above the limit and collided with the cyclist. Yvonne Kemp, the victim, was fatally injured in the crash. Jordan, who displayed signs of intoxication during field sobriety tests, had a blood alcohol content of 0.074%, significantly exceeding the legal limit for his age group. He is facing a first-degree felony charge of aggravated vehicular homicide in Cleveland Municipal Court and has been issued a $25,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for September 26.
