Deputy from McClain County Sheriff's Office recuperating following involvement in fatal accident.
A McClain County Sheriff's deputy is resting at home after being treated for minor injuries sustained while assisting at a fatal accident. The incident occurred early morning on 07.27.2025 on I-35 Northbound in Purcell. The deputy, who was helping with traffic control, was hit from behind, leading to the loss of their patrol car. Thankfully, the deputy was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. The investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
