Decatur car crash sends one to hospital
One individual was hospitalized with head and knee injuries after a solo vehicle incident in Decatur on Wednesday. Emergency responders were called to East Mound Road near 1 Educational Park Drive for the crash. The driver was assisted out of the vehicle by bystanders and subsequently taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Decatur Police Department and Hickory Point Fire Protection District also provided assistance at the scene. Authorities completed their operations and departed around 3:37 p.m. Additional details are currently unavailable.
