Deadly semi-truck collision causing delays on I-15 in the northeast area
Emergency responders are handling a serious accident in the northeast valley that has resulted in the closure of a section of a main freeway. The incident involved a semi-truck and a sedan colliding on Interstate 15 near the Speedway exit around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, as reported by the Nevada Highway Patrol. Tragically, one person has been reported dead at the crash scene. The semi-truck driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Due to the crash, the semi-truck overturned in the median, leading to significant traffic congestion and road closures. For those in the area, detours are being directed towards the Tropical Parkway off-ramp, continuing east on Las Vegas Boulevard, and then heading north to access I-15. Furthermore, the 215 beltway eastbound to I-15 north route is also unavailable. Drivers are advised to find an alternate path and steer clear of the affected area.
