Deadly pedestrian accident closes westbound Saratoga traffic near Weber on Monday morning

On Monday morning, the Corpus Christi Police Department closed westbound traffic at the intersection of Weber Road and Saratoga Boulevard due to a serious accident involving a pedestrian. The incident occurred around 4:49 a.m. in the 3900 block of Saratoga Blvd. After officers arrived, they found a male pedestrian who was then taken to a local hospital by CCFD medics but unfortunately passed away from his injuries. The individual had crossed Saratoga Blvd. outside of a crosswalk and was hit by a westbound vehicle. The driver stayed at the scene, and the roadway was reopened by 8:30 a.m. after the CCPD Traffic Division investigation was completed.
