Deadly multi-vehicle collision in Jack County confirms 5 fatalities, 2 wounded, as per Texas DPS
A tragic accident over the weekend resulted in five fatalities and two injuries, as reported by the Texas Department of Public Safety. The incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 1 p.m. on Highway 380, just under nine miles outside of Jacksboro. The collision involved a Honda Accord and a Honda CR-V, with the Accord attempting to pass in a no-passing zone before striking the CR-V. The Accord overturned and the CR-V spun before both vehicles came to a stop. Sadly, all three occupants of the Accord lost their lives at the scene, while two individuals from the CR-V, 1-year-old child and 29-year-old Jonathan Contreras, also died. The two remaining CR-V passengers, 30-year-old Evelyn Sheppard and a 4-year-old child, sustained injuries in the crash. Names of the deceased from the Accord have not been released at this time.
