Deadly hit-and-run motorcycle accident in western Erie County

Sadly, the Erie County Coroner, Lyle Cook, has confirmed the loss of a 62-year-old man from Geneva, Ohio in the crash. The incident occurred just after 9 p.m. on Saturday near the West Ridge Road and Nash Road intersection. In response, authorities closed off westbound traffic on West Ridge Road. An eyewitness, Joseph Holdsworth, shared his harrowing account of the events, recalling how he heard cries for help and discovered a person injured near a motorcycle. He observed that the responsible vehicle had fled the scene. Holdsworth promptly contacted emergency services for assistance. The police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
