Deadly car accident in Jefferson Parish
A tragic car accident in Jefferson Parish resulted in the death of a woman, Selenta James of Metairie. While driving her 2022 Nissan Murano on the Causeway Boulevard exit from I-10 west, James veered off the road and into the grass. A Louisiana State Police trooper attempted to approach her vehicle, as she seemed to be in a medical emergency. However, the car suddenly accelerated forward, crashing into a concrete support pillar of the Causeway Boulevard overpass. Despite suffering serious injuries, James was not wearing a seatbelt. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment but unfortunately passed away.
