Deadly accident in Odessa due to ignoring traffic cones
In the early hours of August 21, the Odessa Police Department responded to a serious accident at the intersection of 8th St. and Dixie. A 22-year-old driver named Benjamin Pearce from Schertz, Texas, was operating a Ford F-350 when he collided with a parked backhoe on the 1300 block of E. 8th St. which was closed for construction. Tragically, Pearce was pronounced dead at the scene, and his family has been informed. The authorities are currently investigating the incident.
