CSU Fullerton soccer player killed in electric scooter accident near campus

A student from Cal State Fullterton who played soccer tragically passed away after being in the hospital for six weeks following an accident involving an electric scooter and a box truck over a month ago. The university is organizing a candlelight vigil in honor of Lauren Turner, a sophomore, on Nov. 12 at 5:30 p.m. Members of the soccer team expressed their deep sorrow over the loss of their teammate, highlighting Lauren's wonderful personality and kindness. The accident occurred near the campus in late September, involving Lauren and another teammate riding electric scooters along with a box truck. Both students sustained serious injuries. The soccer team acknowledged Lauren's significant impact on their program and expressed their love and remembrance for her.
