
Critical condition for Morrisonville teenager post Sunday accident.
A local adolescent is in critical condition after a collision on Sand Road Sunday evening. As per the New York State Police, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. at the Sand Road and Newell Court intersection, involving a dirt bike and a car. The crash involved a 2023 gray Nissan driven by 69-year-old Marilyn S. Casey of Saranac heading west on Sand Road, and a 2021 red Honda dirt bike driven by a 15-year-old male traveling south on Newell Court. The collision caused the teen to be thrown from the dirt bike. Emergency services were quick to respond, initiating life-saving treatment on-site before transporting the teen to CVPH and later airlifting him to UVM due to the seriousness of his injuries. The community rallied around the family, offering prayers and support. The accident prompted a closure of the road near the Clinton County Landfill as police continued their investigation. As the investigation progressed, the teen's name was withheld for privacy and sensitivity reasons.
