Crash closes I-285 east at Moreland Avenue
A fatal accident occurred on Interstate 285 near Moreland Avenue early Friday morning, leading to the closure of a section of the interstate. Officials reported that the incident occurred just past the Moreland Avenue exit around 6:35 a.m. It is believed that a pedestrian was hit by a car while walking in the fast lane, and subsequently, another vehicle collided with the initial car. Tragically, the pedestrian lost their life at the scene, and the two drivers involved were hospitalized. At this time, it is unclear whether any charges will be filed.
