Community bands together for families of teens in crash fundraiser

A local community is rallying together to assist two families facing hardship in the aftermath of a tragic accident in Harford County. Several businesses, including Conrad's Seafood, are contributing a portion of their proceeds to aid the families of two teenagers impacted by the fatal September 17 crash. The incident resulted in the death of 16-year-old Blake Elliott and injuries to 17-year-old Zach Griffin, who was hospitalized. Andrea Conrad emphasized the value of being able to organize such a fundraiser, highlighting the significance of giving back to the community as a business owner. The loss has deeply affected many community members as the teenagers are well-known in the area. Conrad's Seafood is hosting the fundraiser at all their establishments, not limited to locations in Harford County, including Bel Air, Abingdon, and Perry Hall. Customers are encouraged to mention the fundraiser when dining in or ordering takeout, with Conrad's pledging to donate 20% of the day's sales towards the cause. For individuals unable to attend the fundraiser, the families have established GoFundMe pages that have collectively raised over $100,000 each.
