Colorado State Patrol reports several deadly collisions on C-470 involving animals
In Colorado, encountering wildlife while driving is common, but it can also lead to tragic consequences. Recently, Colorado State Patrol reported two fatal accidents on C-470 this month involving wildlife. One incident on July 11 involved a moose and four vehicles, resulting in a woman losing her life. Another tragic event occurred early on July 20 when a man swerved to avoid a deer on C-470, causing his vehicle to roll after driving off the road. Despite being taken to the hospital, he later passed away. Authorities disclosed that a total of 1,600 animal-related crashes have been responded to by troopers this year.
