Collision closes section of Route 30 in Westmoreland County
The westbound lanes of Route 30 in Unity Township, Westmoreland County, were closed due to a head-on collision on Friday morning around 6:05 a.m. The incident occurred near Wimmerton Boulevard, leading to the shutdown of the westbound lanes and closure of one eastbound lane. According to Westmoreland County 911 dispatchers, both vehicles were involved in the crash, with individuals trapped inside. It was uncertain at that time whether any of the individuals would need transportation to a medical facility.
