Coliseum blocked by car accident
A tragic incident occurred in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Tuesday evening where a woman lost her life after being hit by a car while walking across a crosswalk on Coliseum Boulevard. The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the accident at around 8:19 p.m. near the 1200 block of Coliseum Boulevard. Despite efforts from medics at the scene, the woman was pronounced dead. According to a FWPD press release, the woman was struck by a car traveling south on North Coliseum while crossing the crosswalk. The driver involved contacted 911 immediately and is fully cooperating with the authorities. Thankfully, the driver was unharmed. The Fatal Accident Crash Team of FWPD is currently investigating the incident, leading to the closure of southbound traffic in the 1200 block of Coliseum Boulevard for the time being.
