Charges filed in deadly Aurora crash linked to suspected DUI street racing
In Aurora, Colorado, a 19-year-old individual suspected of driving under the influence was involved in a fatal crash during an illegal street race in the early hours of Saturday morning. The collision took place at the intersection of E. Alameda Parkway and S. Chambers Road when a BMW sedan, driven by Edwin Rosales-Sandoval of Denver, lost control, struck a grocery store sign, and overturned. Sadly, one adult male occupant lost his life at the scene, while the driver and another passenger sustained injuries. Rosales-Sandoval, who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, now faces various charges, including vehicular homicide, for allegedly driving while intoxicated and with a revoked license from a previous DUI conviction.
