Charges brought against Farmington Hills woman in fatal accident involving road worker and father of 6
The Farmington Hills community recently witnessed a devastating incident, as a 59-year-old resident named Kimberly Taylor faces legal charges related to a tragic accident that claimed the life of an Oakland County road worker and left two others injured. Taylor has been accused of causing the fatal collision, resulting in one charge of Moving Violation Causing Death in a Work Zone, which carries a 15-year sentence, and two charges of Moving Violation Causing Injury in a Work Zone, each punishable by one year imprisonment. After posting a $5,000 personal bond, she is set to appear in court again on December 3. The fatal crash occurred on July 23, 2025, along Orchard Lake Road, claiming the life of 43-year-old crew member Cedric Jones, who was survived by his wife and six children. Two other crew members, George Thomas and Robert Dinkins, were also injured in the tragic accident.
