Car smashes into Powell residence
A vehicle collided with a residence in Powell on Monday night, causing significant damage, as reported by Rural Metro Fire. The car veered off the road and crashed into a home on Fieldstone Farms Lane. Despite the home sustaining heavy damage and being deemed "structurally unsafe," and the car being completely wrecked, the driver miraculously only suffered what seemed to be minor injuries. Rural Metro expressed astonishment, exclaiming "All we can say is, WOW!" Thankfully, the occupants of the house were all outside when emergency crews arrived at approximately 11 p.m. The Tennessee Highway Patrol and Knox County Sheriff's Office are conducting an investigation into the incident.
