Car crashes into Lewiston hair salon, leaving one dead and multiple injured
A fatal two-car collision in Lewiston resulted in one death and several injuries as one of the vehicles involved crashed into a hair salon. The accident occurred at about 1 p.m. on Lisbon Street, prompting the closure of the road from Scribner Boulevard to Pleasant Street for hours. Local authorities reported that emergency services were called to the scene of the crash, where one of the vehicles collided with J-D Cuts Hair Salon, causing multiple injuries to individuals inside who were subsequently taken to the hospital. Sergeant Craig Johnson of the Lewiston Police Department stated that the incident is currently being investigated, with preliminary reports indicating that two outbound vehicles veered off the road. The authorities have informed one fatality as a result of the crash, and efforts are being made to inform the deceased's next of kin.
