Bush Turnpike's westbound lanes reopen following fatal accident
The westbound lanes of the President George Bush Turnpike were closed on Thursday afternoon after a street sweeper overturned near Frankford Road in Dallas. The incident occurred just after noon and all lanes were reopened by 4 p.m. According to Texas Department of Public Safety officials, the accident was caused by a blown tire on the street sweeper leading to it hitting a concrete barrier and flipping over. Unfortunately, the driver, identified as 46-year-old Tharnell Duncan of Dallas, succumbed to the crash. The NTTA promptly issued a warning following the crash, cautioning drivers to anticipate substantial delays in the affected area.
