Bloomington Resident Arrested for Fatal Collision, Cocaine Detected

A Bloomington man, Joshua Scroggins, has been accused of causing a deadly accident in February 2024 while driving under the influence of cocaine. The crash, which led to the death of John Skirvin, occurred a few miles southwest of downtown Bloomington. Court documents state that Scroggins was driving over the speed limit and had consumed cocaine prior to the incident. Scroggins, 40, was arrested on Tuesday and now faces charges related to the fatal crash. An initial court appearance has not yet been set.
