The driver of the vehicle, a 32-year-old, remained at the scene, and no charges were immediately filed. The incident was reported around 5:30 p.m., prompting a rapid response from emergency services. Despite efforts by community members and responders, the cyclist passed away at the scene. The crash is under investigation, and Highway 43 was closed for several hours as authorities worked to gather information.
