ASP Seeks Public Assistance in Inquiry of Deadly Pedestrian Incident Close to Eureka Springs
The Arkansas State Police (ASP) is investigating a tragic pedestrian accident that took place in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 23, 2025, on Highway 187 near Nightingale Road, north of Eureka Springs. ASP Troopers responded to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle around 2:45 a.m. and confirmed one fatality at the scene. The victim was pronounced deceased by the Carroll County Coroner around 3:30 a.m., with their identity pending notification of their next of kin. Authorities are seeking public assistance in locating the vehicle involved, described as a newer model white Chevrolet pickup.
