Airman dies at Lubbock hospital following wrong-way crash near Farwell

Despite efforts to avoid the collision, the airman succumbed to his injuries two days later at University Medical Center in Lubbock. The other driver remains in critical condition at the hospital. The airman, who joined the Air Force in 2024 and was stationed at Cannon, was part of the Security Forces' Bravo Flight. His passing was mourned by Col. Robert Johnston, expressing condolences to his loved ones and fellow servicemembers. Both individuals involved in the crash had their seatbelts on, and road conditions were reported as dry with a speed limit of 75 mph in the area.
