Accident on Northbound I-15 causes traffic diversion near Carp Elgin Road, northeast of Las Vegas Valley
Authorities are currently investigating a deadly accident that occurred on northbound Interstate 15 near Carp Elgin Road, approximately 60 miles northeast of Las Vegas. The northbound lanes at I-15 and Carp Elgin Road are closed, with traffic being redirected onto the I-15 exit off-ramp at mile marker 100 and then onto the northbound on-ramp at mile marker 100. Although drivers can still proceed northbound on I-15, delays and slowdowns are expected due to the situation. Construction is also underway in the area. Nevada State Police responded to the incident after receiving reports of a multiple-vehicle collision around 3:28 p.m. Tragically, two minors lost their lives at the scene, while one individual was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition. Additionally, four others sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local medical facilities. Please note that this story is still developing.
